Like all great minds, I had a dream…
Well, I don’t have a mind that great, so my dream was little – 20 centimeters, to be precise.
In an old movie after Anton Chekhov’s vaudeville, called “The Wedding”, Dymba, an ethnic Greek protagonist, kept saying that Greece has everything.
Now I can say that Moscow, too, has everything. To be more precise, a couple of days ago I discovered an Internet shop that, like Greece, has everything.
In brief, I needed a paella, that is a Spanish/Catalan frying pan, exactly 20 cm in diameter, and hadn’t been able to find it anywhere. Today I’m holding it in my hand.
Made in Spain, exported to Italy and from Italy to the Internet shop, the pan covered a long road for such a low price. When placing an order I chose to receive it personally rather than expect a delivery – I wanted to explore the barrio, not far from where I live.
The point of delivery is located in a strange area between the Leningradsky and Yaroslavsky railway stations.
The house is even stranger. It is a former water tower, a very old water tower, built well before the 1905 revoluion or the Russo-Japanese war.
Ironically, most of the offices in the water tower are delivery points of Internet shops. Weird, ¿no?
